How to Make a Smooth Sided Diaper Cake:
Products Needed:
- Diapers
- Rubber Bands
- Round Cake Pans for Mold
- Card board base(ie, cake cardboard)
Instructions:
- For a smaller pan, use about 15 diapers and make sure they are
fanned out and spaced apart in the pan to have the mold in figure
three.
- Place a rubber band around all of the diapers while in the pan, and flip pan over onto the cardboard base.
- For larger pan, arrange the outer layer with the diapers fanned about a 1/2 an inch apart.
- Gather a small roll of diapers, and secure it with a rubber band and place the small roll of diaper in the middle of the pan.
- Place a larger rubber band around all of the diaper while in the pan, and flip pan over onto the cardboard base.
Type Two: How to Make a Rolled Sided Diaper Cake:
Products Needed:
- Diapers
- Baby/small rubber bands
- Larger rubber bands
- Round Cake Pans for the Mold
- Cardboard Base (ie. Cake Cardboard)
Instructions:
- Roll each diaper individually, and place a baby/small rubber around it to secure it.
- Take your rolled diapers, and place into the cake pan (mold).
- Take a large rubber band, and place around all of the diapers when in the pan.
- Flip over onto cardboard base
Type Three: How to Make a Bulk Sided Diaper Cake:
Products Needed:
- Diapers
- Small and large rubber bands
Instructions:
- Take between 8-12 diapers, and roll one around the other until you have a small bunch of diapers. Secure it with a rubber band.
- Continue making the small bunches until you are ready to assemble
- Place the bunches around into circular shapes, and secure with a large rubber band
All three patterns are great for functional diaper cakes
(toiletries, and bath items added). The first two are impressive for
decorative diaper cakes. Whichever pattern you decide to use, I am sure
it will be a masterpiece.
